An entry to the Myths and Legends contest held by

I'm not sure if I'm really happy with this. I mean, I'm not that great at photomanipulation to begin with but something about this piece just seems off. I think it's the background but I don't know how to tweak it to the way I want it to be. Oh well...

I was just browsing DA and came across this piece. I just love it, its like a story that is aching to be told. You mentioned about tweaking it and I don't know if this will help but here is a quick and easy texture tutorial that I think would look really cool with this piece. But I used this a few times and was amazed how easy it was but what a huge difference it will make in the look of the piece.

good luck in your contest.

Thanks. I think it's an awesome contest you're holding since I've always been fascinated with mythology and the such. But I was just wondering if the entries go through a screening process or something before they're posted onto your journal because I've just visited your page and it's not up there yet. Just wondering. Or does the story not really qualify as either a myth or a legend? Because if not I'll do another one. =D
